My big goal is to post about our trip. However, I must do some cleaning of pictures before that happens. A few things have happened that I need to be sure are recorded.
The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will show its 5000th broadcast in July of this year. They have requested stories of people who have been touched by this broadcast through the years. The reality is these broadcasts started on radio the year Papa was born. He loved this broadcast. When I read the request for stories, I submitted this on March 31, 2025 about Papa and his experience with Music and the Spoken Word.
Friday, April 4th, I received this nice reply from them.
Andie sent us this in a text. Hayden made the Dean's List. Hayden is quiet about these things. This letter was sent to Andie and Michael on April 18th. Andie forwarded it to Claude and me. Hayden attends DePaul University's Jarvis College of Computing and Digital Media. He hopes to be a movie director and also write scripts. He made the Dean's List. Yeah Hayden!!
Friday, April 25th, Katelyn sent this picture of Raelyn. She is dressed and ready to go to a school dance. Oh My!!Monday, April 28th, was a 'get ready for our trip' day. Household chores were done by me, while Claude mowed and trimmed the grass. When he took his break between the front and the back yards, I sliced us each a nice juicy apple and we paused to enjoy that break together. I love these moments.
Tuesday, April 29th, was the final 'get ready for our trip' day. All those last minute chores were done like stopping the mail and watering the plants. Bags were packed and ready to load in the car. In order to use up food and not leave leftovers, we enjoyed grilled cheese sandwiches or dinner. We had powerful thunderstorms. So grateful for our little home that keeps us safe.
Sunday, May 4th, Katelyn and Drew posted this picture. Drew is third from the right on the back row. They are the 2025 Winter Champions. Drew does love being on the ice. Congratulations to Drew and his amazing team!
Today, Monday, May 5th, Hayden sent us a text. It included this picture. I love his smile so much. You can see he is very happy doing this thing he loves so much. Kudos to you, Hayden!!It would appear a lot of life happens, even when one is planning and executing a great trip.
