50 Years...

When we woke up on Thursday, February 13th, we woke up to a special day for the two of us. We had reached 50 years of marriage. WOW! We were both amazed at reaching that mile stone. 

I decided to post to Facebook pictures from each decade of our marriage with this verse from a song we both love:

Now...on to the next 50!!

This was fun to do and look at how we have changed over those 50 years.

We had our religion class in the morning. Claude picked up donuts at Frank's Donuts in Georgetown and we headed to Lexington. What shared the donuts with those attending our class so they could celebrate with us.

After our class, we went to lunch at Montana Grill. This is becoming our favorite place to eat. We asked our server to take a picture of us on this special day. She was happy to oblige. We don't look half bad!

When we got home there was a package in the mail addressed to Claude. There was no note inside. Clearly it was an anniversary gift but we had no idea who to thank for this lovely gift. We learned it was our first born, Nissa, who found this lovely and had it sent to our home.  

We also received this fun card from Jake, our son. 

I visited Papa in the afternoon. Then we settled in for a nice, quiet evening together. Oh how we loved this day. It was just very low key but very, very nice.
