We flew from Cincinnati to Minneapolis/St. Paul. Then from Minneapolis/St. Paul to to Denver. We would arrive Denver at 10:20am and depart for Iceland at 4:45pm. We found a Subway and had a good meal followed by Rocky Mountain Chocolate.
Then we found a nice outdoor space in which to wait until time to get through security and on to the International flight portion of the airport. Some decorating genius figured out a way to have strips of metal on stands that allowed them to wave in the breeze of air as it came through this lovely area. It looked like a modern version of prairie grass. So pretty and soothing in the rush of an airport. Clever. Very clever.
As we boarded our flight and flew on to Iceland, I started watching for signs with language on them. The last two pictures are from the barf bag in the seat pocket. I never got the pronunciation of the words. They love using LOTS of letters! Now to try and rest one the plane as we flew through the night to Iceland. Not happening. Some people with windows did see some Northern Lights on this flight. Not Claude or me.
