Christmas - Part 5 (Christmas Afternoon & Evening)

We filled our Christmas Day afternoon with checking on Santa's plate of cookies and the reindeer food...
Music around the piano...
Playing with Christmas gifts...
Enjoying being together again as a family...
Papa brought Mimi out and we had a great dinner of ham and smoked beef brisket. Then we opened Mimi's presents with her before it was time to say good-bye to her so Papa could take her back to the nursing home.
The evening ended with bringing out the first puzzle. Making a puzzle has been a tradition since my childhood with Mimi and Papa. There are rules to follow so all have a good puzzle making experience, like putting the piece you try back where you got it from so we can easily all go back when we see where it might fit. And, of course, the all important don't hold onto a piece so you can put the last piece in. We enjoy good chocolate and snack food and lots of friendly conversation while puzzle making.
