Sadieville In September 2014

Detta Wilson did it again. She acquired craft and food vendors, square dancers and the Sidewinder Band and we all enjoyed a Saturday in Sadieville.  Past residents came and gathered with old friends and caught up on their lives.  Politicians worked the crowd to garner a few more possible votes. Children played.  Claude and I opened the Rosenwald School for 3 hours and had people visit who had not been in the school before.  One little one even tried out a desk for us. It was a good day.  Here are a few of the pictures I enjoyed the most.

The sweet lady on the right is Tyra. She cuts my hair. She is such a fun person.
This is the Reese family strolling down Main Street.
Scott Meadows, Pastor of Sadieville Christian Church, and Claude Christensen, Mayor and my hubby.

Detta Wilson in the center talking with Tara Gormley who is running for Family Court Judge.  Bobbie Bruner on the right is Sadieville's Police Chief.

A Velcro bounce building.  The kids put on a Velcro suit then run and jump against the Velcro wall and stick to it.

 Vernon Morris
These two were so happy. They stopped me to tell me they were walking the street without an adult and it was okay.  Rights of passage.
This guy quenched my thirst several times.  He called this contraption he used to squeeze the juice out of lemons the e'lemon'ator.
Judy had a stroke last year.  It is so good to see her out and about in the community again. I'm wondering if her good hubby bought this just for the ease of getting them around.

This was our Student of the Day at the Rosenwald school.

Claude, ending our day at Froggers to get a Pina Coloda Smoothie. Yum!!
