Thursday and Friday, June 22 & 23, Kentucky League of Cities had their Board of Director's meeting in Georgetown. This is usually held in the current President of KLC's home town. However, Sadieville does not have a venue to accommodate such a large group. So it was held this year in Georgetown as Claude is the President of KLC this year.
Thursday evening they hold a social for all those attending. There is a meal and music and time to relax and just visit with the other Mayor's, KLC staff and other City Officials.
Claude invited the City Commission to attend if they desired. Commissioner Mike Mizell & his wife, Commissioner Detta Wilson & her hubby, Commissioner Carol Strother & her hubby and City Clerk Sandy Whelan all came. We all sat at a table for dinner together and very much enjoyed the two man band that played excellent music for our enjoyment. It was pouring down rain outside but we were happy with the warm friendship inside.
Nice to have these moments provided by Claude's service to our community and Commonwealth.
