Down On the Farm...

Claude is the 1st Vice President of Bluegrass Tomorrow...I know, I know, another office in another program. The man cannot say 'no'. However, Rob Rumpke and his Bluegrass Tomorrow is working hard for the trail systems in Kentucky as one of the many things they work with and support. Sadieville is working to have the trails in Scott County come out to Sadieville for horses, bikes, walkers, runners, who some ever. Claude will do his part to make this happen for Sadieville.

They have an annual fundraiser. Well, they have more than one, but this is a biggie. This year it was held at Normandy Farm in Paris, Kentucky. And...it was held in...a horse barn. Unless you live in Kentucky, you might not be aware that these are nicer than a lot of people's homes. Some even have chandeliers in them.

This was a fun evening. We enjoyed another marvelous dinner. Music was provided by a Jazz band named the Jazzberries. Silent auction items were set up in three of the stalls. There are paintings in some of the stalls for purchase. Really, really upscale.
Claude bid on and won three items. The first was a one night stay at one of the Kentucky Resorts. We have stayed in several of these and really like them. The second was tickets to see Hal Holbrook perform Mark Twain. The third was to see the guys who originally portrayed the Jersey Boys. We will totally enjoy all these adventures. And, we helped a very good cause. And, we enjoyed a great meal. And, once again, the yellow Jeep with the propeller on the back was the best car in the valet parking!! We are a very, very classy couple.
