Well, it finally arrived. Our next to youngest grandmonster broke that most important of barriers and is actually a real, live teenager. Wow!!
His parents took him and a few friends to this Island Escape where you are locked in a room and have one hour to find the clues to get yourself out of the room. This is a picture of the boys after their fun adventure. They did it in 57 minutes and 4 seconds. Great job. They all totally enjoyed it and everyone found at least one of the clues. Andie and Michael were very impressed with the boys and how well they worked together. Hayden is the eyes peeking over the sign.
Hayden's actual birthday was the Monday following his party. Claude and I drove over to take him presents and out to dinner with the family. He opened presents from Claude and me without his parents being there due to time constraints to get dinner in. He was very happy. The first gift is the traditional gift which everyone in our family gets, a box of your favorite Girl Scout cookies. He asked for some kind of stand to put the gaming things on to charge. It holds two of whatever these devices are. And the last gift was a Lego's set he really wanted. He immediately got a cookie sheet and started to put this thing together. He does that so very fast it is fascinating to watch.
Hayden wanted to have dinner at Red Robin. We took the Mini's over to get a table and Michael and Andie came as soon after they got home from work as they could. Always a good meal at Red Robin. The servers came and sang Happy Birthday to Hayden and gave him a sundae. He was a happy young man.
Now let's see what those teenage years bring for Hayden.
