Tuesday, October 24th Claude and I filled the day nicely. We had tickets to see the Eagles in Louisville. Andie and the Mini's were on Fall Break from school. So we invited ourselves to go over during the day. Amazingly, that was okay with the Marx family.
Bailey wanted to take Claude to the movie for her birthday present to him. This had not happened yet and she was still eager to make it happen. So we arrived in plenty of time for Bailey and her 'huggy bear' to have a date to celebrate his birthday. She was truly bouncing off the walls with excitement. Michael and Andie attested to the fact she did not sleep at all the night before. Bailey picked the movie (My Little Pony) and the place to eat (The Noodle Place) and they were off. Claude sent this selfie of them in the movie theater before the movie started. Aren't they a pair?!?! They had a wonderful time together.
Meanwhile, back at the Marx home, I gave Hayden Papa's old music stand. He figured out how to set it up and then he played us some tunes on his baritone. He just keeps getting better and better. When everyone returned home, we had some quiet time before Claude and I went to the concert. This is how Bailey positioned Claude and her to watch some America's Funniest Videos.
Then Claude and I were off to the Yum Center in Louisville to watch one of our favorites. A few years ago Glen Frey died. When that happened we were very grateful we saw the Eagles on their concert tour that year and figured it would be the last. Then, the Eagles asked Deacon Frey, Glen's son, to sing with them. Deacon had performed before groups of a few hundred before and some smaller venues than that with his dad. He is accomplished and, quite frankly, looks just like a young Glen Frey. Don Henley said it was fun to watch Deacon in their first performance as the Eagles in Dodger Stadium with a few more people than he ever performed in front of before. Don said he was great and did it with ease. The Eagles also invited one of my personal favorite musicians, Vince Gill, to sing with them. So this concert included Deacon and Vince. It was excellent and we were so very happy we were able to get tickets and see them again. Well worth the price of admission.
We filled up that day quite nicely I would say.
